The You First Scholarship

The You First Foundation supports families impacted by traumatic medical events. Each year, we award scholarships of up to $6,000 to students who have faced serious health-related adversity.

Since 2018, we have awarded over $415,000 to these resilient individuals who choose to pursue their educational goals despite life’s hardships.

Your Contribution Helps Make a Difference

Thanks to the generous support of community members like you, the You First Foundation was able to award 15 scholarships in 2025 totaling $63,000 to qualifying students who have experienced traumatic medical events. The foundation has donated over $415,000 in scholarships to date.

12th Annual Wendy Kwan Memorial Golf Tournament

The funds raised provide scholarships for brain injury victims and their families. The tournament honors Wendy Kwan, a young mother who died unexpectedly in 2014 from an undetected brain aneurysm and whose death spurred the establishment of the You First Foundation.
